You will agree to indemnify selfdriveaustralia and all other access providers that enabled you to access this site for all foreseeable and unforeseeable results of any actions you take based on the material contained in this site.

If you do attempt to hold us liable for the results of your actions then you specifically acknowledge that all disputes will be defended in Tasmania, Australia subject to Australian Laws.

selfdriveaustralia suppliers hold the right to refuse any booking.

selfdriveaustralia must reconfirm all their details and bookings with the individual accommodation provider, tour operator and car rental companies after reservation has been confirmed.

If there is any provision to purchase travel services displayed on this site by way of credit card, the services will not be considered paid for or reserved until the transaction has been approved by the institution that issued the credit card.

Force Majeure: selfdriveaustralia shall not be liable hereunder by reason of any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations hereunder on account of strikes, shortages, riots, insurrection, fires, flood, storm, explosions, acts of God, wars, governmental action, labor conditions, earthquakes, material shortages, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of such party.

Modification of booking:

• Changing your booking details may incur extra charges.
• You may extend your booking by having additional days added to your stay and car rental. To obtain the same rate for accommodation and car rental reservations they must be arranged by us, not through the car rental company or accommodation provider.
• There will be no refund allowable in respect to modifications of bookings, even where a total balance would otherwise be less than the original booking cost.
• In the event that a booking modification results in a higher total balance payable then you are to pay an additional deposit and final payment to us, being the difference between the original deposit and final payment and the new deposit and final payment.

Disclaimer of liability:

• The information, which we present, is supplied to us by individual car rental companies and is always subject to change without notice, therefore we cannot accept responsibility for any changes beyond our control.
• Upon collection of your vehicle you enter into a direct contract with the car rental company and in the event of any issues, problems, queries, concerns or complaints they should be directed directly to the car rental company with whom you enter into a contract.

Other general terms and conditions:

• All car rental, tour and accommodation bookings are subject to this user agreement and you are bound by such agreement whenever a booking is made on your behalf by www.selfdriveaustralia.
• No other terms, conditions or warranties, expressed or implied by law, custom or dealing with us shall form any part of any contract between us and you unless specifically made in writing by us addressed to you.
• The terms and conditions of this user agreement shall be deemed to be modified and/or varied by any provision of any legislation or regulation, which negates or modifies any provision of this agreement.
• You acknowledge that in making a booking with selfdriveaustralia that you do so on the basis of the material contained on the site and subject to this agreement and you acknowledge that any statement or representation by selfdriveaustralia and its employees or agents have not been relied upon other than as may be specifically set out on our site.
• The rental of any vehicle will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you.
• You should satisfy yourself that you understand and agree to the terms of a rental contract entered into and you should be aware that you will be subject to and must comply with the terms of such agreement and with the law as applicable at such place from time to time.
• We do not except liability for any charges incurred by you with your authority or otherwise.
• We reserve the right to levy any government increase in local taxes that may be introduced after the publication of this site, however, we will make every effort to ensure that you are notified of any of these matters either prior to your booking or as soon as practicable after we have knowledge of such increases.
• Any additional charges payable upon arrival by you at the time of collection of the vehicle are subject to local taxes at the prevailing rate from time to time in that country.
• Apart from any conditions contained in any rental agreement with the car rental supplier you will be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, causing wilful damage, driving off road, or driving negligently and/or without due care or attention or in breach of any road laws and you agree to indemnify selfdriveaustralia against any claim or demand whatsoever in respect to any breach of this condition.
• There may be restrictions as to the availability of vehicles at peak times.
• All cars and all accommodation offers are subject to availability and all information including prices is correct, to the best of our knowledge, at the time of publication being September 2005.
• You may have certain statutory and legal rights as a consumer and the terms and conditions of the user agreement are to be read subject to such rights.
